CCTV Report: XCMG and China Railway Group Sign Logistics General Contract Agreement for the First Cross-border Order
Recently, XCMG signed a logistics integration agreement with China Railway Group, marking the first cross-border deal of its kind. On the 23rd, a train loaded with construction machinery departed from Xuzhou Freight North Station and is scheduled to arrive at the Manzhouli Port six days later.
"Today, we are very pleased. Northeast China is experiencing heavy snowfall, and if we were to transport these goods by road to the port, it would be impossible to deliver them on time. This time, we chose railway transportation, and within a day, we completed all the procedures," said Wu Qiong, the head of XCMG's complete machine transportation department.
Vice President of XCMG Machinery, Jiang Mingzhong, stated that as XCMG continues to advance its internationalization strategy, relying solely on a single transportation structure results in many uncertainties. Currently, we are implementing the "Smart Transformation, Digital Conversion, Network Connection" project, and one of the tasks is to rapidly establish a global logistics plan, optimize transportation methods, and seek safer, more stable, greener, and lower-cost logistics delivery solutions, while focusing on customer experience. This is a key aspect of our current focus on logistics.
As the leading enterprise in the Xuzhou City Construction Machinery Cluster's "Number One Industry" chain, XCMG will comprehensively promote strategic cooperation with China Railway Group, adhere to green and low-carbon principles, and promote the improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement of logistics. In the new journey of XCMG's industrial transformation and upgrading and the smart transformation, digital conversion, and network connection, we will solidify the foundation of logistics infrastructure.
